He finally did it! 🏆 After many finals but never quite a win, today was the day — Matua Layton led our mixed Year 5/6 team to victory at the WBOP Touch Competition, convincingly winning 5–0 in the final! Mr S summed it up perfectly after the game: “The coolest thing about the final wasn’t the score — it was the way this team played as a team. No single superstar, just a massive team effort.” Tries from both our boys and girls, incredible teamwork on attack and defence — it was everything we love to see in Papamoa sport. 💙💛 Not pictured: our boys’ and girls’ teams who also had a great day, playing their hearts out and then cheering their classmates on from the sidelines of the final. One of those days that makes us so proud to call Papamoa our kura and whānau. 🌊💪
