Papamoa School offers a diverse range of sporting and cultural opportunities for our students and as a school our facilities and location are fantastic. Not only do we have a 25m heated pool onsite, there are also two full size sports fields, an astroturf, two netball courts and a hall. We are also in easy walking distance (300m) of Papamoa Beach, and the Gordon Spratt, Wairakei and Simpson Reserves.
We hope that when our children move on from Papamoa School to further education we will have given them the knowledge, skills, attitudes and motivation to contribute to their personal well-being, the well-being of others, their individual sporting and cultural pathway and their community. We proactively encourage our students to show initiative towards valuing their health through a physically active lifestyle, balanced nutrition, functioning effectively as an individual or within a community, and the ability to set and achieve SMART personal goals.
Whanau Groups Papamoa Primary School has 'whanau groups' for our in-school sports and cultural activities. All students are placed into one of the following whanau groups: Kowhai - yellow, Matai -white, Rimu - red and Totara - green. (Families join the same whanau group). Students are given opportunities throughout the year to earn points for their whanau groups by participating in various sporting and cultural activities.
