Inquiry Learning

What is Inquiry Learning?

Inquiry learning involves students being actively engaged in opportunities to wonder and question about the world around them. It is a collaborative and hands on process in which students work with their peers and teachers to question, investigate, reflect, create and action deeper understandings about future focused concepts. Inquiry learning encourages learners to make connections, generalisations and take away skills that can be applied to all areas of their learning and life. The Inquiry Process caters for varying learning styles and allows for creativity, critical thinking and problem solving.

During the Inquiry Process students follow the cycle below that can be manipulated as a ‘wheel’ repeatedly moving forwards and backwards through the process.
