Educational Opportunities:

Papamoa Primary School is a decile 6 state school with a roll of approximately 650.  We are very well resourced and have a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.  Our school prides itself on its highly effective learning and teaching programmes which are delivered by a dedicated, caring, hardworking staff.   Follow this link for our most recent Performance Report, which outlines student achievement at Papamoa Primary School.  You can also view our latest Education Review Office report by clicking on this link:  2017 ERO Report

Student Involvement:

Papamoa Primary School has a Student Council which provides one of many opportunities for leadership.  We also have students who are bus wardens, pedestrian crossing wardens, and librarians.

Children at our school have the option of taking part in various cultural and sporting groups.  These are showcased on our “Sport and Culture” pages.

We offer a variety of extension programmes in the school, and also provide the opportunity for our more capable students in the middle and senior school to participate in outside programmes.

A Special Needs Co-ordinator supports students with learning needs. Reading Recovery, Rainbow Reading and language groups are some of the programmes used to support these students.

We also take part in the “Kiwi Can” programme which is for all students in the school and is based around values and personal achievement.

Parental Involvement:

We are fortunate to have a very supportive parent group and general community.  Parental involvement in the children's education is encouraged and welcomed through our “open door” policy.  Parent help in the classrooms is frequently sought and always encouraged.   For social involvement and fundraising we also have a very enthusiastic parent group (PTA), who are an integral part of our school.  They are responsible for many very successful fundraising and social ventures.
