Harakeke Pod and the Motiti team had Nutritionist Naomi Sutton from Foodstuffs NZ in for the 'Food for Thought' programme. The children learned about making healthy food choices, understanding the sugar amounts in popular drinks, reading food labels and understanding the nutritional differences between everyday foods versus treat foods. This inquiry-based learning opportunity for our Year 5 and 6 tamariki is aimed at helping them make choices that will improve their health.
