Ripper Rugby Finals Night - Term 1 2017
8 April 2017

A beautiful evening at Gordon Spratt Reserve for the BOPRU Ripper Rugby Module Finals night.
Our Year 0-2 team had another solid win to finish their season unbeaten. There was some quality tries scored by Matty, Bronson, and Levi and Jasmin was safe as houses on defence.
Our three Year 3/4 teams have improved from week to week in terms of skill and game understanding, with the Blue team finishing second. The depth of talent across these three teams is very encouraging for the sporting future of Papamoa Primary School.
We had four teams competing across the Year 5/6 divisions, with our Blue team winning the grand final 10-5 over Te Akau Ki Papamoa. Once again, great to see a massive talent pool as we head into our annual exchange with Fairhaven on Friday 19th May (hosted by us) and then the defence of our our WBOP Championships from 2016 in both Year 3/4 and Year 5/6.
A huge thanks to the team of parents that have coached and managed our 8 teams across this term. It's no easy task getting 80+ kids organised and to the right field at the right time.
Credit also to the Papamoa Primary staff that have gone the extra mile to support and prepare our teams - Mr Edgar, Mr Tahana, Mrs Oglesby, and Mrs Hambrook.
Best of luck to all our athletes as they head into their winter seasons of Football. Rugby, League, Hockey, Netball, and Basketball.
