Ra Whakangahau
25 November 2016

The highlight of the day was performing the poi and haka. We could feel the mat underneath us while we stomped on the hard ground. The second time we sang Rona the front row of girls went down onto their knees. We could feel the people looking at us when we were singing. After we finished Bre made a call, “whakatika”. Then it was time for Aaron to start the haka. All the boys stealthily made their way through the girl’s line. Once the boys had finished, the whole crowd gave a big paki paki. We all walked off stage feeling happy.
